📚 What are Soil Layers?
Soil isn't just dirt! It's made up of distinct layers, called horizons, each with its own characteristics. These layers form over long periods due to weathering, decomposition, and the movement of water and organisms. Imagine them stacked on top of each other like a delicious cake!
🌱 The O Horizon (Organic Layer)
This is the top layer, made up of decomposing plant and animal matter, like leaves and twigs. It's dark in color and full of nutrients.
