📖 Letter Sounds: Each letter makes a sound (or two!). Knowing these sounds helps you read words. For example, 'a' can say /ă/ like in apple or /ā/ like in ape.

🧩 Blending Sounds: Blending means putting letter sounds together to read a word. For example, c-a-t becomes 'cat'.
• 🗣️ Practice saying each sound and then smoothly combining them.
✍️ Reading Sentences: After reading words, you put them together to read sentences. The words in a sentence should make sense together.
• 💬 Look for the period (.) at the end of the sentence, indicating you should pause.
🧐 Understanding What You Read: This is called comprehension. Ask yourself: What was the story about? Who were the characters?
• 🤔 Try to remember what you read and tell someone about it.
