📚 Topic Summary
Every sentence has two main parts: the subject and the predicate. The subject is who or what the sentence is about. The predicate tells what the subject does or is. Think of the predicate as the action part of the sentence!
For example, in the sentence "The cat sleeps," "The cat" is the subject and "sleeps" is the predicate. The predicate includes the verb and all the words that tell more about the verb.
