📚 Understanding Commas in Character Traits
Character traits are words that describe a person's personality or what they are like on the inside. These words help us understand characters better in stories or even describe people we know! For example, a character might be 'brave,' 'kind,' or 'curious.'
When you list three or more character traits (or any items) in a sentence, you need to use commas to separate them. This helps make the sentence clear and easy to read. You place a comma after each item in the list, except for the very last one, which is usually joined by the word 'and.' So, instead of 'brave kind and curious,' you would write 'brave, kind, and curious.'
