📚 Quick Study Guide

  • 💬 Dialogue is a conversation between two or more characters.
  • 🗣️ Use quotation marks (“ ”) to show when a character is speaking.
  • ✏️ Start a new paragraph each time a different character speaks.
  • ✍️ Punctuation (periods, commas, question marks, exclamation points) goes INSIDE the quotation marks.
  • 👉 Use a comma to separate dialogue from the speaker tag (e.g., “Hello,” she said.).
  • ❗ Use a capital letter to begin a direct quote.
  • ❓ If a question is part of the dialogue, put the question mark inside the quotation marks.
