Deserts are harsh environments, so plants and animals living there need special features, called adaptations, to survive. These adaptations help them cope with extreme heat, lack of water, and intense sunlight.

- 💧 Water Storage: Many desert plants, like cacti, have thick, fleshy stems or leaves to store water. This allows them to survive long periods without rainfall.
