๐ What is Earth's Revolution?
Earth's revolution is simply the movement of our planet around the Sun. Think of it like running around a track โ Earth is constantly orbiting the Sun in a big, oval-shaped path.
- ๐ The Path: Earth travels around the Sun in an elliptical orbit. This isn't a perfect circle but a slightly stretched one.
- ๐๏ธ The Time: It takes Earth about 365.25 days to complete one full revolution around the Sun. That's why we have a year!
- โ๏ธ Why Seasons Happen: Earth's axis is tilted at an angle of 23.5 degrees. As Earth revolves, different parts of the planet are tilted towards the Sun, giving us seasons. When the Northern Hemisphere is tilted towards the Sun, it's summer there, and winter in the Southern Hemisphere, and vice versa.
