- ๐ What is Rhyme? Rhyming words are words that have the same ending sound, like "cat" and "hat."
- ๐ How to Find Rhymes: Listen closely to the last sound of words. If they sound the same, they rhyme!
- ๐ What is a Four-Line Poem? This is a poem that has exactly four lines. It's also sometimes called a quatrain.
- โ๏ธ Poem Structure: In Grade 1, we often see four-line poems where the first two lines rhyme, and the last two lines rhyme (AABB).
- ๐ Example: "The dog ran fast, / It left a blast. / It played all day, / And went away." (fast/blast rhyme, day/away rhyme)
