π What are Protagonists and Antagonists?
In every exciting story, there are different characters! Two very important ones are the protagonist and the antagonist. Knowing who they are helps us understand the story better.
π¦Έ The Protagonist: The Hero of the Story
- π The protagonist is the main character. This is the person we usually root for!
- π They are often brave, kind, or trying to solve a problem.
- π― Think of them as the 'good guy' or 'hero' of the story.
π The Antagonist: The Troublemaker
- π¦Ή The antagonist is the character who causes problems for the protagonist.
- π They might be mean, sneaky, or trying to stop the protagonist from reaching their goal.
- π§ Think of them as the 'bad guy' or the one creating obstacles.
π€ Protagonist vs. Antagonist: Working Together
Even though they are on opposite sides, both the protagonist and antagonist are important! The antagonist's actions create conflict, which makes the story interesting. The protagonist then tries to overcome these challenges.
